Bellar Family
Abal Auto Sales is a business built on a solid foundation of faith and family.

K.L Bellar
K.L. (Ken) Bellar started in the car business when he opened a small towing operation in the 1950s. He named the business Abal because it was the first name under towing in the Amarillo phone book at the time. He began buying some of the cars he towed and repairing them to sell. In 1964, he turned the wrecking yard into a used car lot; keeping the same business name he had already established. Although he is “retired”, he still enjoys coming to work every day and visiting with his family and the customers over a cup of hot coffee. When he is not at the dealership; Ken enjoys teaching his Sunday school class at Bolton Street Baptist Church and traveling with his wife, Mary.

Kenney Bellar
Kenney Bellar has been with Abal Auto Sales since 1981, when he left Pioneer Gas Co. to join the family business. Kenney is a graduate of Caprock High School (1974) in Amarillo. He married his high school sweetheart, Peggy in 1975. They have two children; Chris (who lives in Colorado Springs with his wife Julee and their three sons) and Wendi (who is currently at Texas A& M completing her Ph.D.). In his time away from the car lot, Kenney enjoys playing racquetball at Gold’s Gym. He and Peggy are also involved at Paramount Baptist Church.

Donnie Bellar
Donnie Bellar has been with Abal Auto Sales since 1983. He left his job at SPS to be self-employed so he could enjoy more time with his family. Donnie is a graduate of Caprock High School (1977) in Amarillo. Donnie is married to Delilah and they have two sons; Brandon and Marcus. He is also the proud PaPa to 5 grandkids.
In his spare time, Donnie enjoys yard work, spending time with his family and the family dog- a Golden Retriever named Bailey.

Brandon Bellar
Brandon Bellar has been at Abal Auto Sales since 2007. He is a graduate of West Texas A&M University (2007). Brandon is involved at Amarillo Little Theatre and serves as the Music Director for their ALT Academy productions. He also teaches private voice lessons and Musical Theatre classes at the ALT Academy.
Brandon enjoys spending time with friends and his own family of five.
